Spring Tryouts for Local Teams

   March 13, 2010
   Registration: 8:30-9:00 a.m.
   Tryout: 9:00-11:00 a.m.
   Valleywood Middle School

What to bring:
   - Membership Application
   - Copy of Birth Certificate
   - $50 Tryout Fee

Players who are currently playing with FaR Out on a winter local team do NOT need to attend this tryout.  Their current coach will have a registration form for them to fill out.  On that form you will be able to indicate if you prefer to stay on the same team or to be considered for a different team.  We will accommodate everyone as best we can.

New players that come to the tryout on March 13 will be evaluated and then placed on teams that suit their talent level and carpooling needs.

Players who are currently playing with another club and desire to tryout for a FaR Out team must be released by their current club.  The club director will need to email us at faroutvbc@yahoo.com to verify they have been released.

Season Information
   - Cost: 12 & under - $300 ($200 for players who played the winter season)
              13, 14, 15 & under - $400 ($300 for winter season players)

   - Practices: teams practice twice a week with the opportunity of attending individual training sessions on Sundays
        *Practices take place in the Kentwood/Caledonia area
        *Practices will begin right after spring break

   - Tournaments: 12 & under - 3 half day tournaments plus the state AAU tournament June 5, exact dates TBD
                          13, 14, 15 & under - 4 one-day tournaments plus the state AAU tournament June 5-6, exact tournament dates TBD
        *Tournaments take place in the Grand Rapids or Muskegon area

Team placements will be posted on the website soon after the tryout.  We make every effort to find a spot for everyone who tries out.  You will then have the opportunity to accept or decline your placement by emailing us at faroutvbc@yahoo.com by the posted date.  Once you have accepted your placement, players must complete their AAU registration (directions below) and mail in their payment by the first practice to the club address: 4430 9th St., Wayland, MI 49348.
 
                
AAU Registration
   1. Go to www.aausports.org.
   2. Click on “Join AAU online”
   3. Click on “Join Now” in the ATHLETE category
   4. Complete all required information
        a. Club Code is MIVBB7CKB0 (YOU MUST ENTER THE CLUB
            CODE!)
   5. Click on “Save and Continue”
   6. Click on “Add a Athlete”
   7. When done registering athletes, Click on “Finish”
   8. Click on “Click here to Checkout”
   9. When checking out make sure to enter a valid email address so
       you will receive a copy of your proof of registration.
   10. Print the membership card and bring as your proof of registration.
