One current and one former FaR Out participant are making some awesome headlines.
Megan Hendrickson, member of the 18 Red team, was recently named the Michigan Gatordate Player of the Year. She is now eligible for the National Player of the Year Award. Here's what Prepvolleyball.com, who has a lot to do with the selection process, had to say about her:
"North Branch senior setter/hitter Olivia Kohler was voted Miss Volleyball in the state and she is amazing, a mesmerizing athlete to watch. But the vote of coaches was taken before Jenison, with Hendrickson leading the way, won back to back state titles in Class A. Hendrickson, the state’s highest ranking senior recruit and a smarty headed to Duke, finished the year with 717 kills, 92 aces, 83 blocks and 389 digs. Kohler would have been a fine choice, as would East Kentwood setter Megan Steenhuysen and South Christian OH Jordyn Skinner, but Hendrickson was clearly the best choice."

Alisha Glass is unquestionably our most recognizable alum. She is a junior setter for the Penn State Nittany Lions who won their second straight National Championship and capped off a perfect undefeated season. She was named a 1st team All-American and was a member of the Final Four All-Tournament team. She is a steady and consistent presence on the floor and makes all of her great hitters look phenomenal. We are very proud of her and all that she and her team have accomplished. Congratulations Alisha!
