This is an email we sent out on Friday, July 24 . . .

Greetings Players & Parents -

We are excited to begin the planning process for the 2010-2011 club season. Some big changes are taking place that will effect volleyball in West Michigan.

We will be joining forces with Dead Frog Volleyball Club for our top level teams. The structure of our clubs will function like a triangle. The top of the triangle will be a comination of players from each club at the top level. The rest of the triangle will be split down the middle with both clubs retaining their identity, structure, and location. We strongly believe this will benefit everyone. The base of the triangle will be expanded AND we will raise the level of talent at the top of the triangle to continue to compete with the best clubs in the nation.

FaR Out has had a long-standing relationship (over 20 years) with the Dead Frog organization. We share the same core values of hard work, strong competition, and creating a family-oriented atmosphere. In addition to these values, we both have a desire expand the level of volleyball in West Michigan. All of these factors and many months of discussion made it clear that it would be a win-win situation to create a partnership between the two clubs.

The next natural question for a parent is how does this affect our family and our daughter. For starters, FaR Out will continue to offer the same opportunities in Grand Rapids, but now we will have an additional tier of participation for those athletes who desire to compete at the highest level. We understand that this may not effect everyone and that is why we will continue to offer outstanding opportunities that fit your desired level of participation. We are sure many questions are coming to mind . . . currently we are finalizing the details of this new tier of participation and will have complete information on the website by August 1.

Personnel from both clubs are very excited about this new adventure. If you have questions, please email us with a phone number that we can respond with answers to your questions. But keep in mind that plenty of details will be shared on the website by August 1.

We genuinely value the families who are involved in Far Out. We are going to continue to work hard providing you with a quality product that you can be proud to be a part of regardless of age or level of participation.

We are proud to promote Mitchell's Run Thru Rockford on August 21, 2010.  Mitchell's sister is a member of our 16 Yellow team and we love having the whole Peterson family in the FaR Out family.  If you would like more information on this event which raises funds for Duchenne muscular dystrophy, click here.

There is also a 4 on 4 Volleyball Tournament on August 7 to raise funds.  Click here for the details.
